Oratorio
Oratorio, 2022
Sound installation, metal, light, industrial net, animation.
Variable dimensions
In May 2022, I was invited to create a site site-specific Installation for Oratorio San Filippo Neri in Bologna, the exhibition was made up of various moments that intertwine with each other: on the one hand the large sculptures that resemble the scaffolding and architecture of the building, covered with colored nets similar to safety nets, in a clear allusion to the renovation works in the city; on the other, music: a composition written by Esteban Puebla and interpreted by Mahé Marty that filled the space of the Oratory, while an homonymous and more dynamic musical version accompanied a video-animation by Pablo Calatayud, the last element of the multimedia installation. The organ of the Oratory played live several days during the exhibition, accompanying the video animation with its notes, to bring a more contemporary look to the history of this building, through a real kinetic energy, generated by the intertwining of lights, colors and sounds.
