In these works, the images of the cities, of their ruins, become forms that vanish like phantasmagoria on the assembled sheets of bone, creating a tautology between support, medium and representation, which enhances the inconclusive sense of every image we perceive under a recognizable appearance or order. Image and support, in this case, are alluding to a kind of ontology that describes the process of senescence of the environments that surround us. Bones end up being that proof of existence, even when the rest of the physical body has vanished after biological death. Ruins are perhaps the urban equivalent that testifies to the passage of time and the process of decay of cities.
