Entr’acte (après René Clair) is nothing less than a leap into the void: that feeling of being on top, of having a state of well-being and euphoria, when suddenly everything comes crashing down. Many of us have experienced that leap into the void, the citizen whose home has been taken away, the worker who is left without a job, the economist ruined by his greed, or the poor elderly who have been robbed of their savings with toxic funds. It is in this instability that Garaicoa has fluctuated, from the splendorous Cuba of a resounding architecture and the ruins in which the city finds itself today; from the Cuba of culture and recreation of other times to the Cuba where international blockades prevent the arrival of basic supplies to the country. In the same way as in Spain, where the interests of Europe and the conformity of the politicians have caused the citizen to be in this fluctuation, waiting for the economy to recover to be able to get out of this hole that has been latent for years.
